Hamburger Taco Rice Skillet

Image
Here’s a simple, comforting recipe you can use with hamburger, rice, and taco seasoning — quick, cozy, and weeknight-friendly: Hamburger Taco Rice Skillet Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef 1 packet taco seasoning (or 2 tbsp homemade) 1 cup uncooked rice (white or jasmine works best) 2 cups beef broth or water 1 small onion, chopped (optional) 1 cup corn or black beans (optional) Shredded cheese for topping (optional) Instructions: Brown the hamburger in a large skillet. If using onion, add it and sauté until soft. Drain excess grease. Stir in taco seasoning. Add rice and broth. Mix well. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and let simmer 15–18 minutes, until rice is tender. Add corn/beans if using and warm through. Top with cheese, sour cream, or salsa if you want. Notes: You can easily make this into bowls by adding lettuce and tomatoes. Also great wrapped in tortillas for kid-friendly “taco rice burritos.”
