Easy Wet Burritos
Easy Wet Burritos Everyone Will Love
You know those recipes that look like they’re going to be complicated, but end up being super simple — and then everyone at the table is asking for seconds? Yep, that was these Wet Burritos.
I threw them together the other night, and let me just say… they were a hit. Saucy, cheesy, filling, and honestly way easier than they look. Perfect for a busy weeknight when you just want something comforting and family-friendly.
What You Need:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 packs taco seasoning
- 1 can refried beans
- 2 cans enchilada sauce
- Large flour tortillas
- Shredded cheese (I used Mexican blend + mozzarella)
- Optional toppings: lettuce, tomatoes, diced onion, sour cream, taco sauce
How to Make Them:
- Cook the meat
Brown the beef, drain it, then add taco seasoning, refried beans, and about half a can of enchilada sauce. This makes a creamy, flavorful filling. - Fill the tortillas
Scoop the beef mixture into a large tortilla, sprinkle a little cheese inside, and roll it up like a burrito. - Make it “wet”
Place the burritos seam-side down in a baking dish. Pour the rest of the enchilada sauce over the top until they’re fully covered. - Top with cheese
Don’t be shy here — cover them in shredded cheese. - Bake
Pop in the oven at 350°F for about 20–25 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbling. - Load up the toppings
Add whatever you like: lettuce, tomatoes, onions, sour cream, taco sauce.
Why We Loved It
- Super filling — one burrito was plenty.
- Messy in the best way (that saucy, cheesy goodness!).
- Totally customizable — you could swap beef for chicken or add rice to the filling.
- It tasted like restaurant food but was made right at home.
This one is definitely going into the regular dinner rotation. It’s easy enough for a weeknight but tasty enough that you could make it for company too. If you’re looking for a meal that’ll have everyone at the table cleaning their plates, give these wet burritos a try!
