Quick Easy Bread

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour (or bread flour)

  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1 ¼ cups milk (warm, ~110°F / 45°C)

  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

  • 1 large egg

Optional: Herbs, garlic powder, or shredded cheese for flavor




Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a loaf pan.

  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder.

  3. In another bowl, whisk together milk, melted butter, and egg.

  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until combined. Do not overmix.

  5. Pour batter into greased loaf pan and smooth the top.

  6. Bake 35–40 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  7. Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing.




✅ Tip: Quick bread uses baking powder, so no long rise is needed. Enjoy warm with butter!
